NCI PVC Insulated, PVC Sheathed Copper Armoured Cables to IEC 60502-1 at 0.6/1 kV are available in four armour types: Steel Wire Armoured (SWA), Steel Tape Armoured (STA), Aluminium Wire Armoured (AWA), and Aluminium Tape Armoured (ATA). Manufactured by National Cables Industry, Sharjah UAE, with ESMA Emirates Quality Mark and BASEC certification, these cables cover virtually every armoured cable requirement for UAE and GCC power distribution projects.
SWA provides maximum mechanical protection for direct burial applications. STA offers a lighter alternative for cable tray and duct installations. AWA is specifically used for single-core cables where steel armouring would induce eddy currents, while ATA gives a non-magnetic, lightweight alternative. The full range covers 1-core to 4-core configurations with sizes from 1.5mm² to 500mm².
These cables are specified for MEP projects, underground cable runs, industrial facilities, and utility installations across the UAE meeting IEC 60502-1, DEWA, SEWA, ADDC and other relevant utility standards.
